Hi everyone! It’s time for some useful (hopefully) DIY tips. Without further ado, here they are
1. Use top coat/ nail polish to remove nail polish!
Im pretty certain at one time or the other we’ve wanted to remove our nail polish but didn’t have any nail polish remover and then probably proceeded to using a blade or some other object to scrape off the paint.
Guess what, you don’t have to scrape; simply put a layer of top coat or nail polish on the nail you want to clean and then wipe the two layers of paint off immediately.
sometimes a wash alone can’t get out all the makeup products on your face. If you don’t have a makeup remover or wet wipes, try using cold cream or any light oil (olive oil will do just fine) on your face and then wiping it off with a cotton ball or pad before washing your face. Lotions are the best for this; don’t use thicker creams or petroleum jelly because they’d just clog up your pores.
Things You’ll Need
1 teaspoon natural honey
1 teaspoon olive oil orsweet almond oil or sunflower oil
2 teaspoons granulated white sugar
1 to 2 drops essential oil (optional)
Lemon juice (optional)
Moisturizer or lip balm
. Put a teaspoon of honey in a cup and warm it for about 4 seconds (natural honey possesses healing and hydrating properties)
. Add a teaspoon of your olive/almond/sunflower oil
.stir the mixture
.add 2 teaspoons if granulated white sugar (the granulated sugar acts as an exfoliant to scrub off the dead/dry cells on the lips)
.add about 5 drops of lemon juice (optional)
.add 1 or 2 drops of essential oils to give your scrub a lovely fragrance
How to use:
Wash your hands, then use your finger to apply the scrub to your lips, using gentle, circular motions. Wipe the scrub off your lips with a damp cotton ball. Finish by applying your favorite lip moisturizer or balm.
There you have it. I hope you find at least 1 of these tips useful. I definitely need the lip scrub one for myself; can’t rock lipstick properly with flaky lips… That’s just not a good look. Until next time, stay glam. X
